Antigonus II Gonatas (Ancient Greek: Ἀντίγονος B΄ Γονατᾶς) (319 BC – 239 BC) was a powerful ruler who firmly established the Antigonid dynasty in Macedonia and acquired fame for his victory over the Gauls who had invaded the Balkans.
