RemarksRemarks: "Not only is this piece remarkable for the mysterious wreathed head on the reverse that stands in the place of the usual head of Athena on Sidetan staters, it also appears to have been overstruck on a contemporary stater of Aspendos. The undertype of what appears to be a triskeles of human legs within an incuse square can be seen on the obverse. For Aspendian issues with this reverse type, see SNG Paris 1-13."
